The Central Library of Guru Nanak College, Sukhchainana Sahib, Phagwara proudly announces the successful completion of the Interdisciplinary Course Internship Program (2025). Under this program, two students of BCA III Semester (Session 2025) completed 32 hours of training on Koha Software, an open-source integrated library management system.
The training was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Librarian, who guided the participants through both theoretical and practical sessions. The students gained valuable knowledge of Koha’s functional modules such as cataloguing, circulation, membership management, and reporting, along with hands-on experience in system configuration and data management.
This internship aimed to enhance students’ understanding of library automation and open-source digital tools that support efficient information services. Upon completion of their training, the students will be awarded certificates recognizing their successful participation and skill development.
This training reflects the central Library continued commitment to equipping students with relevant industry-oriented learning and interdisciplinary knowledge. The successful completion of this internship demonstrates the enthusiasm and dedication of our students toward developing practical competencies alongside their academic curriculum.
